My sister-in-law is getting married! It’s super exciting and such a blessing that she’s found the man that God intended for her. Her sister will be the maid of honor and our other sister-in-law and I will be the bridesmaids. It’s such a happy time and we were blessed last weekend to throw a bridal shower for Sarah and some of her close friends.
One of Sarah’s favorite things to do is read. Especially Jane Austen. So that’s how we chose the shower theme. It turned out so beautiful! I might still have up some of the decorations just because of how lovely they are…maybe…but I wouldn’t admit it! I’d love to share some of the photos with you and I’m also including zip files with ALL the printable decorations so you can use them to decorate for a party or shower too! You could even just use them to decorate your home library or sewing room. I just love how they turned out!
Want to know where I got my inspiration? Pinterest of course!! Check out my Jane Austen Shower board or I’d love to have you follow me on Pinterest!
Before the printables, pictures of the shower and the decor.
Silhouette of Jane Austen with words written by her! Love!
On the Menu:
Cucumber Sandwiches
Petit Fours
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Strawberries
Pumpkin Bread
Banana Bread
Cheese and Crackers
Hot Chicken Salad
Three Varieties of Tea
Hot Chocolate
Yum!!
These cute little picks were stuck in the tops of the food. Loved them!
We also decorated the table with paper flowers, book page hearts, photos, and candles.
A sweet Jane Austen quote that fits Sarah so well. “There is no charm equal to tenderness of heart.”
Pictures of Sarah and her fiancee. I happened to take these pictures, so had access to all of them. Printed them in Sepia and framed them. Want to know the secret? Thrift store frames! Used acrylic paint to paint the frames off white so they’d all match. The candles and most of the doilies were from thrift stores as well. One of them was made by Sarah though! The little hearts were made based on the ones found here and had Jane Austen quotes on them.
Are these not AMAZING?? Sarah’s sister made them for Sarah and Tim’s new home using this tutorial. They turned out PERFECT!!
These are books (hymnals) that I use to decorate my piano all the time, but they fit perfectly tied up with lace.
Soft pink flowers! They’re just silk flowers from Walmart, but they’re so lovely!
We did play a couple of games and these were the prizes! A Jane Austen book (found these at thrift stores) and candles all tied up with lace.
I was thrilled with how the shower turned out! Everyone seemed to have a great time and it was a beautiful shower! I hope you enjoy using the printables!
First, I’d like to show you the invitation I created for the shower. I love how they turned out!! If you’d like invitations like these for a shower you’re planning, I can customize it for you and email you the JPG for you to print off yourself for $10. Just shoot me an email if you’re interested.
Now for the free printables! First, let me tell you that these are all JPG files. You’ll want to print them off as such. If you have a photo printer, great! Or you can do like I did and send them to Walmart and have them print them for you! They all say in the file name what size they should be printed as except for the treat toppers. Print those as 4×6’s.

I love this!! I’m such a Jane Austen fan. While I’ve been happily married for 11 years now, I’m totally pinning this on Pinterest so that younger girls I know can do this. Very clever!

Thanks! I love that many of these things could also be used for birthday parties for older daughters too. My sister-in-law is actually taking all the decorations to hang in her home library. If I had a home library, they’d be going there! 🙂
Hi,
I wanted to see if I could get the JPG file for the shower invitation that you made. We loved it and would like to use it for a shower we are throwing in June.
Does the JPG file come with that specific backdrop (at the top & the Jane Austen silhouette), and could we change the color from pink to green?
Thank you, hope to hear from you.
Cristina
