Sometimes you need a simple craft. One with no mess. No glue, no paint, no baths (or even hand washing) needed. So far, all these pine cone crafts have been a bit messy. This one is super simple!
Pine Cone Crafts: Yarn Pine Cones
Preparation time: None
Project time: ~5-10 minutes
Project cost: $ Low
Parental involvement: Low
Inspiration: Yarn Pine Cones from Family Chic
Supplies:
- One pine cone
- A yard or two of yarn (We used the multi-colored yarn to make them more fun!)
- Scissors
Preparation instructions:
- None
Step by step instructions:
- Stick one end of the yarn into the pinecone and wrap once or twice to secure it. Then, just keep wrapping! The girls didn’t really wrap top to bottom, they kind of did theirs all crazy. I could have stopped and “fixed” it, but I figured it didn’t hurt anything that it was different than mine. It was fun that way too.
If you decide to make this week’s pine cone crafts with your child, be sure to come back and tell me about it! Take pictures and share them on my Facebook sharing post! I’d love to see what you and your little ones are making together!
This post is part of my 31 Days of Easy Crafts for Kids series. Be sure to check out the rest of the crafts I’m doing this month!
